I just started a introductory class on Java programming yesterday. It’s very exciting and I’m glad to begin doing some Object Oriented (OOP) stuff. My PHP knowledge has come in pretty handy, but also annoying with some minor differences in syntax that I keep forgetting. For example, in PHP, it’s very easy to spot variables because they all have a $ symbol infront of them. On the other hand, in Java, variables are variables because of where they are placed in the line. Very confusing :/
